// 5 phases - in the order that matters

How we build a website: our process

1

Project analysis

Understanding the sector, objectives, competitors, target audience and conversion KPIs. We don't start with the design: we start with the result the website must produce. For a farmhouse it's "more direct bookings". For a professional it's "more qualified enquiries from the local area".

2

Information architecture and wireframe

We design the structure before touching the graphics. How many pages are needed, what appears on each one, how navigation works, where the CTA goes. The wireframe is approved by the client before the designer opens Figma.

3

Mobile-first design and copywriting

The visuals are developed from the approved wireframes - not the other way round. Design and copywriting proceed together: the text is not inserted at the end of the project, it is written alongside the visual structure. Every element has a purpose.

4

Development and testing

Proprietary AleMar CMS. No purchased templates. Testing on over 10 real devices before go-live. The client reviews a staging version and approves before publication.

5

Go-live and 90-day monitoring

Publication with 301 redirects on all existing URLs, updated sitemap, Google Search Console configured. For the first 90 days we monitor rankings, traffic and conversion rate and intervene where needed.

Indicative timescales: standard business website 6–8 weeks. With e-commerce or management functions: 10–14 weeks. Timescales run from contract signing.

What makes our approach different

No purchased templates

Every website is built from scratch for the project. The structure comes from the client analysis, not from a pre-existing layout.

Development, design and copy: the same team

Developers, designers and copywriters work together in the same office. No handoffs between different departments: this eliminates the information loss that causes delays and revisions.

The code is yours from day one

Your repository, your documentation. We don't create artificial dependencies. You can move the site to any hosting provider, and if you decide to change agency, the technical transition is painless.

SEO integrated in the build, not added afterwards

The SEO architecture - URLs, H1, schema markup, Core Web Vitals - is designed in phase 1, not optimised retrospectively. A fast, well-structured site starts Google-ready from the outset.

// How it connects to other services

The website as the hub of your digital system

A website we develop is built from the outset to integrate with the other services we manage. We don't build a site and then ask ourselves how to connect it to everything else.

SEO →

The technical architecture of the site is the foundation of SEO work: URLs, schema markup, loading speed, heading structure. We build to rank from the start.

Social media →

Social and Google Ads campaigns require optimised landing pages. We build these within the site, not as separate pages, to maintain SEO and UX consistency.

Software development →

When the site needs management functions - bookings, quotes, members' area - we develop them in-house with the same team.

Management systems →

The site is often the front end of the management system: booking engine for accommodation, online diary for professionals, digital menu for restaurants.

Examples of our work

Manufacturing - Made in Italy

Elletipi S.r.l.

Challenge: An outdated website functioning purely as an institutional showcase - no sales capability, no direct channel to customers. A company with quality products that the web failed to communicate or valorise.

Solution: Complete website redesign with integrated e-commerce structure, paired with a targeted SEO strategy to rank for the most relevant industry keywords. Architecture designed to convert the visitor into a buyer, not just to inform.

Results in 12 months:

  • +65% organic traffic from Google
  • Over 1,000 online orders per year generated by the e-commerce platform
Manufacturing - Industry Leader

Vitap S.p.A.

Challenge: The website didn't match the company's calibre: it failed to communicate product quality, brand values, or Vitap's position as a market reference point. A gap between real identity and online perception.

Solution: Design and development of a new website that tells the company's story the way it deserves, supported by an SEO strategy built to consolidate sector leadership. Every section designed to convey authority and generate qualified contacts.

Results in 12 months:

  • +72% organic traffic from Google
  • +38% direct contacts

"When we came to AleMar Web, our website was practically invisible. In less than a year they transformed it into our main sales channel: we went from zero online orders to over a thousand a year, and organic traffic grew by 65%. The most important thing? They didn't sell us a product - they understood our business and built a system around it."

// The questions we hear most often

FAQ - Website development

For a standard business website: 6–8 weeks from signing. For e-commerce or sites with management functions: 10–14 weeks. Timescales depend on the complexity of the features, not just the design. The client always has a staging version to approve before go-live.

We use the proprietary AleMar CMS (developed in-house) or WordPress/Laravel on request. In either case the client accesses the admin panel to update text, images and sections without going through us. 2 hours of training are included at handover.

No. Every migration includes 301 redirects on all existing URLs, preservation of meta tags and ranking monitoring for the 90 days after launch. Your SEO history is transferred and, in most cases, improved by the new structure.

Yes, the code is yours from the day of handover. Your repository, your documentation. You can move it to any hosting provider at any time. We provide full technical support for the migration if you decide to change host.
